I’ve managed for yrs to avoid picking up dog poo on any of the many many walks ive been on with dogs. Call me a pawsenger princess. 👸🏽
At the moment we have the lovely Flo, and Ive avoided solo walks with her because I have been partly worried she won’t come back when I call her, but mostly grossed out by the poo situ!
But do one thing every day that scares you blah blah blah, plus I had to get my steps in and I was the only one home and she was clearly chomping at the bit to get out.
I put my big girl pants, and my very mesh inappropriate trainers on for a walk, armed myself with poo bags and treats galore and we off we went! Gals on tour! 🎉🐕🦺
Within 5 mins of walking the time had come- poo town. It was MASSIVE and verry warm and gross, and what is up with trying to get soft poo off grass?!?? Egh. Thankfully I was able to stash it out the way for retrieval on the return journey. Hurrah! I am a hero!… Apologies to my pal that I was sending a voice note to at the time as there was a lot of stop start and exclamations about the stench. Ew.
Not even 5 mins more ANOTHER visit to poo town?!?? Completely ambushed! And with nowhere sensible to stash it for retrieval I had to put it in the treat bag! YUCK! I even had to cut the walk early cos the smell kept wafting up to me! This is only my first rodeo I don’t have the nose training for such things. Shout out to you dog owners who do this on the daily.
Look how innocent/gleeful she looks…and yes, I am with poo.
✅Walks with dogs in the countryside 10/10.
❌Walks with dog poo in bag anywhere -1 million.
P.S. any secret life hacks on how to stop the smell pray tell.
